Project Description

Created a Starfarer enamel collectible pin as part of the project’s expanding fan merchandise. Inspired by the popularity of enamel pins in the music scene, I designed a piece that would stand out visually and feel collectible. The pin features the Starfarer logo in golden yellow with a bold black border, tying into the color palette of the album released at that time.

Additionally, I designed a custom backing card for the pin. The card features a dark, grungy aesthetic that matches the album visuals, allowing the golden-yellow pin to pop in contrast, making it more eye-catching when displayed or sold.

Outcome

The collectible pin quickly became a fan favorite, offering a small but impactful way for fans to connect with the Starfarer brand. The addition of the backing card elevated the presentation, making it feel like a premium, cohesive merchandise item. The pins were sourced and produced in China, then imported and sold online and at live shows, adding another physical touchpoint for the Starfarer universe.

Problem Solved

Starfarer needed a collectible merch item that felt special and tied into the project’s visual identity. The pin, paired with the dark, grungy backing card, solved this by combining strong branding, visual impact, and collectible appeal, giving fans a tangible way to engage with the project while staying true to its aesthetic.
